Future Radio, our community radio station, is the fastest growing radio station in Norwich. Broadcasting live since November 2004 on 107.8FM and online at www.futureradio.co.uk it has a regular listenership of 37,000.
Future Radio, one of the first full time community radio licences awarded by Ofcom, produces more local live programming and plays more local music that any other radio station in Norwich.
In March 2009 Future Radio was awarded a new license to cover a wider Norwich area which boosted coverage from 97,000 people to 140,000 on it's 107.8FM.
Our mission is to provide a diverse, accessible and engaging radio station for the benefit community of Norwich and the wider area.
Our vision is of a sustainable, nationally recognised leading community radio station which empowers an engaged and informed community to embrace social, cultural and economic diversity and cohesion, and contributes to improving the lives of stakeholders.
The Project works with hard-to-reach groups and empowers individuals to reach their full potential. Situated in the NELM area; an area marked by significant disadvantage in learning, skills, employment, health and crime indicators.
Future is increasingly becoming a driving force for social change in the area.
