Proven success
We have a proven track record in engaging young people back in to education. Our alternative curriculum has achieved consistently high attendance figures (80% of students had an attendance rate of 75% or better) and has resulted in the attainment of accredited qualifications for its students. In 2008-2009 all year 11 students sat GCSE exams in English, Maths and Science at grades G or above – nine were accepted onto further education courses at City College Norwich or Easton College, ranging from hairdressing/beauticians, childcare, plumbing and construction.
The Independent Special School, funded by Norfolk County Council Children Services, provides a considerable cost effective base creating just under £60,000 costs saving per pupil, for the
provision of our services, compared to the cost of alternative local and county provision.
